It is confirmed today that Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece fantasy action manga will reach the landmark accomplishment of 460 million copies printed worldwide (390 million in Japan and 70 million abroad) with the release of its next 95th tankobon volume on December 28, 2019.
The 44-year-old author’s first weekly serialization work has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since July 1997 and has been also released in more than 42 countries/regions around the world. As previously reported, it crossed the 450 million mark back in March when its 92nd volume was released, which means another ten million copies have been added just in nine months.
The manga’s official Twitter account has posted an uncolored rough illustration for the 95th volume drawn by Oda.
