This year's Anime Expo As has been major guests on the way, and the latest is certainly no exception. an exclusive report on Anime News Network, Anime Expo 2019 is officially adding Akira creator and all-around legendary director and manga author Katsuhiro Otomo to the impressive guest list.
Beyond his notoriety as the author of the Akira Manga and the director of its classic 1988 anime film adaptation, Otomo is known for manga such as Domu and anime projects ranging from a portion of the Robot Carnival anthology to Steamboy and beyond.
Stay tuned for more details as we will be able to see Katsuhiro Otomo at person at Anime Expo 2019, which will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center July 4-7.
