40-year-old anison singer/singer-songwriter Masayoshi Oish announced on his official website today that he will go on hiatus from singing activities from the early April to May 6, 2020, in order to undergo a surgery to remove vocal cord polyps.

He writes on Twitter, “I will be taking a break for about a month from early April because of the vocal cord polyp surgery. I apologize to all the fans and related people for your concern and inconvenience, but I would like to return to the stage in my solo concert in the following month, May. So i would appreciate for your continued support!”

His comeback solo concert “Sekai ga Kimi wo Hitsuyou to Suru Toki ga Kitanda” (The time the world needs you has come) is already set to be held at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in Tokyo on May 21, 2020.
