Previously, there was only one way to see inside the Studio Ghibli Museum in Mitaka was to go there and experience the wonder for yourself, until now.The animation studio has opened up their museum to Thai photographer, Kanyada, to take photos of the intricate nooks and crannies that only children would be able to see and collect them in a photo book titled The Story of Ghibli Museum.

The 160-page photo book features some stunning iPhone photography with 1500 (Japanese) characters of commentary from Studio Ghibli president, Kiyofumi Nakajima, who used to be the director of the Mitaka museum, and an afterword from producer Toshio Suzuki.

The Story of Ghibli Museum is currently on pre-order with Amazon Japan, with the regular edition being sold for 3,800 yen (US $ 35) and a limited 200 print-run version with special postcards going for 4,800 yen (US $ 44) .The book releases on March 20, 2020.
