Hololive’s Laplus Darknesss VTuber Goes on Break Due to Contracting COVID-19

VTuber Laplus Darknesss has been forced to go on a short break while she heals from the effects of COVID-19. Both the official Hololive Twitter account as well as the VTuber herself announced yesterday that the sixth generation had tested positive after displaying symptoms.

Darknesss was streaming moments before going to the doctor with a deep, raspy voice that was far different from her usual chunnibyo vocal prowess. In the above Tweet, she says that this is her first time contracting COVID-19 and that it is “very painful.”

Neither the VTuber or Hololive have announced a return date for Laplus, but have noted that she will return when her physical condition recovers.
