Tomorrow marks 10 years since we first fell in love with the residents of the Usagiyama Shopping District in Kyoto Animation’s Tamako Market TV anime, at the time the first work from Naoko Yamada since the smash hit K-ON!. To celebrate the occasion, the official Twitter account for the franchise announced a 10th-anniversary project has begun.

It has not been confirmed what the 10th-anniversary project will entail.
Alongside the Tamako Market TV anime, which ran from January 10, 2013, to March 28, 2013, the series spawned the critically acclaimed Tamako Love Story anime film, also directed by Naoko Yamada at Kyoto Animation. Both the series and film are licensed in North America by Sentai Filmworks.

Sentai describes the series as such:
Tamako is just a normal young girl whose family has been making mochi for generations. As her birthday approaches, she happens to meet a talking bird who claims to be a royal court attendant looking for a bride for his master. After the encounter, Dera the bird decides to stay around her and becomes a part of Tamako's life and the neighborhood that she lives in.
