The world of virtual YouTube personalities, or "VTubers," continues to grow daily.From individually-created characters to company mascots and sponsored personas, the craze has created its own wave of anime-style celebrities.And for those who'd like some face-time with them, there's a restaurant that's just the thing.
Virtual Snack is a pop-up café set to take place on alternating Saturdays at Snack 10°, a membership-based bar and light-bites establishment in Ginza.Visitors can choose from eight virtual YouTube personalities to chat with as they get their food and drink.Eight characters are currently scheduled to appear at Virtual Snack on their own nights:
Virtual Snack events are arranged out in the current location through November, and hope to allow VTubers of all levels to find new ways to grow and interact with their fan base.Assuming this first round goes well, plans are in place to expand Virtual Snack to other venues and bring in more VTubers.
