Back in February, Yu-Gi-Oh! revealed a new addition to the line of commemorative Masterpiece Series of cards for the trading card game. Each of the very limited Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards were encased in a transparent acrylic glass container, limited to a thousand copies, and priced at $ 1,000, and they sold out right after launch.
Made of 99.9 percent pure silver with a platinum finish, the items were strictly of interest to hardcore fans… and scalpers. Those looking to pick one up well after launch can look forward to sifting through online auctions, some of which have prices listed as high as $ 11,000. It's hard out here for collectors, y'all.
Here's the official account's tweet right before everyone swooped in on the pre-orders:
Set your alarms! Pre-orders go live in 24 hours! Get the limited edition Platinum Blue-Eyes White Dragon via the pre-order page tomorrow at 8 AM PT. The pre-order page will be live tomorrow so be sure to check back for the link and turn on notifications!#YuGiOhTCG #YuGiOh #BEWD pic.twitter.com/XBKC63QyTC
