It's Doraemon's 50th anniversary, and he's taking the party everywhere—this week, he's walking through the pages of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday!
The most recent issue of the shonen manga mag will feature Doraemon and his friend Nobita traveling through 18 of the 28 titles currently run between the covers.Some of their appearances will be more overt, like the trip through Doraemon's dimension-hopping Anywhere Door in Maojo de Oyasumi (Seen above) .At other times they'll be hiding around the margins, as in Sobotei Kowasubeshi:
Weekly Shonen Sunday Editors say fans will have to be sharp-eyed and read cover to cover, as many of Doraemon's cameos are very hard to find.
The hunt begins in the most recent issue, currently on newsstands in Japan:
The issue will also include a comicalization of the first Doraemon film, Nobita's Dinosaur:
This isn't the first Doraemon Publisherhijacking hosted by Shogakukan.The publisher currently has plans for the children's character to appear on 50 of their magazine covers Throughout the year.
