Gambler Struggles to Survive in Kaiji: Final Game Live-Action Film

A new trailer has been revealed for Kaiji: Final Game, the third live-action film adaptation based on the manga by Nobuyuki Fukumoto about a down-on-his-luck gambler who becomes embroiled in a series of deadly games for the amusement of corrupt elites.

Like the Kaiji TV anime, Kaiji: Final Game is based on the Kaiji manga, which is serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine Englishseinen manga publication.An English language version of the original manga is in-development from Denpa Books.

Kaiji: Final Game features the hero, Kaiji Ito, confronting a quartet of bizarre games, including "The Tower of Babel", "The Final Judgment", "Dream Jump", and "Gold Paper-Scissors-Rock".

Kaiji: Final Game Filmis directed by Toya Sato and features a screenplay by Nobuyuki Fukumoto and Yuichi Tokunaga, based on an original story by Nobuyuku Fukumoto.The film stars Tatsuya Fujiwara, reprising his role as Kaiji Ito from the 2009 and 2011 live-action Kaiji films. Kaiji: Final Game hits theaters in Japan on January 10, 2020.
