Get ready to blow off some steam, because a frantic new trailer (below) has been published for Wave, Listen to Me! (Known in Japan as Nami yo Kiitekure), an upcoming TV anime based on the seinen manga by Hiroaki Samura about a headstrong woman who gets suckered into a position in radio broadcasting.
Funimation describes the story of Wave, Listen to Me! as follows:
Based on the Kodansha Comics manga from Hiroaki Samura, Wave, Listen to Me! tells the story of main character Minare Koda, who is decompressing one night while out drinking in the city.She ends up spilling her love life grievances to a worker from a local radio station, and is shocked when she is working the next day and finds that her rant has been publicized on air!
She quickly heads to the radio station to get to the bottom of the situation when she's tricked into a live interview with the station's director.But, what's this? Her rant lands her a job at the station? Set in Hokkaido, Japan, this is where Wave, Listen to Me! Takes off, as Minare dives ever deeper into the world of broadcast radio.
The Wave, Listen to Me! TV anime is directed by Tatsuma Minamikawa and features animation production by Sunrise.The series will broadcast in Japan on Mainichi Broadcasting System, and Tokyo Broadcasting System, and BS-TBS beginning on April 03, 2020, with an additional broadcast to follow later on Hokkaido Broadcasting Corporation beginning on April 05, 2020.
Wave, Listen to Me! is also licensed for simulcast streaming in the United States by Funimation.
