The official website for voice actress/singer Rico Sasaki announced on January 27 that she was tested positive for COVID-19.
She was originally cast as the role of Seimie in the musical "VOICE," which was scheduled to be performed at Kawasaki City Art Center in Kanagawa from February 1 to 6, 2022. However, the musical was canceled and postponed due to the confirmation that one of the people involved in the play was tested positive for COVID-19 on January 26. Sasaki underwent PCR testing as a precaution, then tested positive on the following day.
She writes on Twitter, "I don't have any symptoms such as fever or sore throat, and the results of the antigen test were negative, but the PCR test that I had to take just for a precaution was positive. I think I will have to stay at home for a few days, but I will do my best to recover at home! I'm sorry for worrying you. Please take care of yourselves, everyone!"
Sasaki has been active as a stage actress since 2009 when she was 11, and made her solo singer debut as Rico in 2014. She recently performed the theme/insert songs for Dropkick on My Devil! (2018) and BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. (2020). As an anime voice actress, she is best known as Daia / Daia Nijinosaki in Kiratto Pri☆chan and Poporon in Dropkick on My Devil!.
。! https://t.co/3JNL7h433l
