LiSA Releases Demon Slayer Mugen Train Arc OP Theme MV to Express "A Hope in the Midst of Chaos"

The official YouTube channel for anisong singer LiSA has started streaming a full music video for "Akeboshi," one of the two title tunes in her double A-side 20th single "Akeboshi / Shirogane" to be released on November 17, 2021. The dramatic song is now used as the OP theme for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc. Meanwhile, "Shirogane" is used as the anime's ED theme.

Ahead of the CD release in Japan, the song was already released digitally On October 18 and has dominated Oricon's digital single charts for two consecutive weeks. LiSA writes on Twitter soon after the release of the MV, "This moment will never cease to thrill me. It is a song of entrusted thoughts, hopes and curses."

The music video for "Akeboshi" was directed by Masakazu Fukatsu, who previously worked on the MVs for her 17th single song "Homura" (Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train theme song) and fourth digital single song "Yuke" (Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night Theme song). Based on the world view of the song, it expresses "A hope in the midst of chaos." In between the powerful singing performances of LiSA, there are images of liquids mixing together to represent the world of the song and music , which is called "Alive Painting" created by painter Akiko Nakayama..
