Live-Action Kaguya-sama Movie Adds Hayato Sano as Yū Ishigami

Director Hayato Kawai (live-action adaptations of My Love Story !!, Nisekoi) is bringing another manga and anime property to the big screen when the live-action Kaguya-sama: Love is War movie opens in Japan on September 6. We previously posted the leads of Sh Hirano as Miyuki Shirogane and Kanna Hashimoto as Kaguya Shinomiya, and now the official website is here with another cast addition.

The latest actor to get in on adaptation is Hayato Sano—Who played Tsuttsun in the live-action 3D Kanojo Real Girlas Yū Ishigami, pictured above.

Aka Akasaka's Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga launched in Miracle Jump magazine back in May of 2015 and has been running in Young jump Since it moved there the following March. Crunchyroll streamed its recent Winter 2019 anime adaptation and describes it like so:

Check! Shuchiin Academy is where all these elite students with bright futures flock to. As the two leaders of the student council, Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane have supposedly fallen in love … But after all What both have too much pride and can't be honest. Things have got trouble trouble, and they are now caught in a war of "How to get the other to confess their love first." This is a whole new romantic comedy, following an outbreak of cunning warfare between two elite students in love.
