Nogizaka46 Member Ayano-Christie Yoshida Stars as Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket Stage Play

The official website for Fruits Basket The Stage, The forthcoming stage play adaptation of Natsuki Takaya's Fruits Basket manga, has announced its main cast members including 26-year-old Nogizaka46 Member Ayano-Christie Yoshida, who will be playing the protagonist Tohru Honda. After the announcement, Takaya wrote on twitter, "Furuba stage play, I wonder what kind of world will be created … As one of the audiences, I'm so excited about it ('∀')"

Nobuhiro Mori (the theater company Shonen Shachu founder) serves as writer and general director, while Taro Hasegawa (Shonen Shachu) serves as director. The stage play will be performed at the Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall, Tokyo, from March 4 to 13, 2022. The first round of the 9,800-yen (86 USD) advance tickets will be available until November 24 , 2021.
