Anime convention Otakon has announced the latest addition to its Japanese guest roster by announcing the appearance of Japanese voice acting legends and now instructors Toshio Furukawa along with fellow voice actress and wife Shino Kakinuma. The Otakon convention will be held from July 29-31 in the Walter E Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C.

Furukawa has played Piccolo in the Dragon Ball series; Portgas D. Ace in One Piece; Kai Shiden in the Mobile Suit Gundam series; and Ataru Moroboshi in Urusei Yatsura while Kakinuma has played Naru Osaka in Sailor Moon;
Videl, and Pan in Dragon Ball. Kakinuma now spends part of her time teaching classes to young talent at Aoni Production's acting school, Aoni Juku, the voice acting and actor training school led by husband Toshio Furukawa.
