Hakubo Was successfully crowdfunded via the pledges on the Campfire website, raising some 21 million yen (about $ 180,000 US). Yutaka Yamamoto. Set in the city of Iwaki in Fukushima Prefecture, the film as as concluding story of Yamamoto's "Tohoku Trilogy". Originally scheduled to release in 2018, Hakubo Now aims for a theatrical release in Japan in 2019.
