Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out! In New TV Anime Adaptation in July With 1st Visual

Take ’s popular comedy slice of life manga series, Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out!, was announced on February 3 to be getting a TV anime adaptation in July.The first visual for the series was released alongside the core cast and staff for the TV anime adaptation.

The creator of the manga, which has been running since 2017 in the online Dra Dra Sharp magazine section on NicoNico Douga from Kadokawa, Take said that “It was the hardest thing for [them] to keep a secret about [this] announcement. ” But hoped people “Could look forward to seeing Uzaki moving around.”

Hana Uzaki, the busty leading lady, will be voiced by Naomi Ozora (Satanichia McDowell Kurumizawa in Gabriel DropOut), who is returning to the series from the voice comic alongside Kenji Akabane (Tetsuo in Sword Art Online) as Shinichi Sakurai. Joining them are Ayana Taketatsu (Nino Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets) as Ami Asai and Tomoya Takagi as Itsuhito Sakaki (first leading role).

Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the manga for English release, who describes Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out! as:

Kadokawa subsidiary studio ENGI will be producing the series with Kazuya Miura (Kemono Michi: Rise Up) directing the series.Other Kemono Michi: Rise Up TV anime staff, Manabu Kurihara (second character designer) will be joining Miura, with Takashi Aoshima (Gabriel DropOut) looking after the series composition.

The series has already become a hit in Japan, with the collected volumes reaching over 500,000 sales – no small feat for an online manga – and having collaborations with the Japanese Red Cross. Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out! starts broadcasting in Japan in July 2020.
