Bungo and Alchemist TV Anime to Delay Episode 4 Till May 8

Ryūnosuke Akutagawa works to defend the world of literature from hostile forces in a scene cut from the Bungo to Alchemist TV anime.

The official website for the Bungo and Alchemist TV anime announced on April 18 that the series, which premiered on April 3, will be delaying its 4th episode until May 8. In its place in Japan, the 2nd and 3rd episode will be rebroadcast on April 24 and May 1. The website did not give a reason as to why the TV anime has been delayed as of now.

The story of Bungo and Alchemist is set in a world where great works of literature have the power to move people's hearts.However, literature itself is under threat by the "Eroders", a malevolent force born of negative human emotion that seeks to erase these great works from humanity's collective memories.Only historical authors resurrected by the power of alchemy can defend the world of literature by entering the infected books and defeating the"Eroders"within.

Bungo and Alchemist started broadcasting in Japan on April 3 on TV Tokyo and affiliated TV stations. The TV anime series is directed by Toshinori Watabe at OLM. Funimation is streaming the series.
