As part of her voice actor debut's 30th anniversary project, Megumi Ogata, best known as Shinji Ikari in the Evangelion franchise, will release an anisong cover mini album "AniMegu. 30th" from Lantis on February 15, 2023.
Ogata started her voice acting career in 1992, and her well-known anime characters also include Kurama in Yu Yu Hakusho, Haruka Tenoh / Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon, Yukito Tsukishiro / Yue in Cardcaptor Sakura, Yugi Mutou / Dark Yugi in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Makoto Naegi and Nagito Komaeda in Danganronpa, Hanako / Tsukasa in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, and many more.
She celebrated her voice actor debut's 30th anniversary on October 10, 2022, and announced to hold her solo concert "Misogi 2022 -Next Stage-!" at Kanda Myojin Hall in Tokyo on December 17, 2022, as the first chapter of the 30th anniversary project.
"AniMegu. 30th" will include cover versions of theme songs from six old and new anime series in which she has appeared.
