As one of Japan's leading artists, voice actress/singer Nana Mizuki (Hinata Hyuga in Naruto, Tsubasa Kazanari in Symphogear) will sing the Japanese national anthem during the ceremony before the start of the finals of the Formula One World Championship's Japanese Grand Prix to be held at the Suzuka Circuit, Mie Prefecture, on October 9.
The world-famous motorsports event will be broadcast live around the world. After being cancelled twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the race in Japan will finally be held this year for the first time in three years.
Message from Nana Mizuki:
I am trembling with joy and nervousness at being asked to sing the national anthem on this special occasion of the first F1 Japanese Grand Prix in three years. Many people around me, including my father, love motorsports. I am also one of those fans who have been attracted by its charms, and so influenced by it to obtain a kart license. I will sing with all my heart and soul with best wishes for a wonderful race!
